3D Scanned a part with a complex shape, it was a part of an assembly.

the bolt and stud holes as well as the overall length and width of the part need to marry up to the existing sub-assembly.

The scanner was a game changer. the ability to scan all the various parts and then put them together on screen to make sure there were no interferences, the part was a discontinued item by the original manufacture. now the part can be made locally
